Communications & Marketing

The Communications Department is responsible for all of RIBO's communication initiatives. This includes production of RIBO's quarterly newsletter the Bulletin, brochures and other written material. The Communications Department also organizes RIBO's annual Members' Forums. Each spring, council and staff members' travel across the province meeting with a random sample of brokers to discuss industry issues. All insurance brokers in Ontario are invited to submit a request to attend and a random sample of between 10 and 15 brokers are selected to take part in the meetings held in approximately 10 different locations each year. The Members' Forums offer brokers the opportunity to voice their thoughts and opinions. A synopsis of the meetings is published in the fall edition of the Bulletin and the comments received act as a valuable resource both in future Board of Directors meetings and in RIBO's strategic planning.

As part of its mandate, the Communications Department also puts together the annual meeting and acts as a liaison with the media.
