Level 3 – Accelerated Management Exam

The Accelerated Management Exam (AME) is for a qualified candidate who wants to become licensed as a Principal Broker, Deputy Principal Broker, or Supervising Broker.

The 90-minute exam is divided as follows:

  • Section 1: The Registered Insurance Act, Regulations, and By-laws exam (20 multiple-choice questions)
  • Section 2: Form 1 – Position Report (15 marks)

A passing grade requires:

  • 75% overall grade
  • 75% in each section

If you write the AME and it is later determined that you did not qualify, no refunds will be issued and you will be required to write the full Level 3 Management Exam.

Candidates are eligible to write the exam twice per exam provider. After two failed attempts they are subject to an 8-month waiting period following their second failed attempt with the same service provider. If a candidate takes the exam during this 8-month period, the waiting period will reset from their most recent attempt, the results will be nullified, and additional restrictors might apply.

Please refer to the RIBO Exam Rules for more details.
