The Canadian Insurance Services Regulatory Organizations (CISRO) has published the Principles of Conduct for Insurance Intermediaries (in English and French) to ensure fair treatment of customers in the life, health, property and casualty insurance sectors.
RIBO considers compliance with its Code of Conduct to meet or exceed the CISRO principles.
As of September 1, 2022, all RIBO licensees are required to provide customers with copies of the CISRO principles document and RIBO’s Fact Sheet About Your Registered Insurance Broker (in English or French).
