Introducing IRIS

As part of our ongoing efforts to modernize our systems and enhance the services we provide our licensees, RIBO is developing a new Registry Management System called IRIS.

When live, IRIS will be a tool used by both licensees and RIBO staff to manage all aspects of a licensee’s status and history. Replacing our existing system, IRIS will include self-service capabilities for brokers to renew and manage their licenses and for principal brokers to manage their firms.

IRIS will feature a new look and updated navigation and, while we appreciate that, as with any new system, there may be a learning curve, the long-term benefits in terms of reliability, flexibility  and increased capabilities will far outweigh any initial growing pains.

IRIS is a custom-built, registry system that leverages the Microsoft Power Platform to improve members experience when dealing with RIBO.  This will afford us the ability to continue our modernization unimpeded by system restrictions or vendor constraints.  This new system also positions RIBO to take advantage of Microsoft’s current and future capabilities in terms of Automation, AI and Machine Learning, enabling  RIBO to make updates, streamline processes, and ensure RIBO licensees have the most secure and stable platform available.

Progress Updates

  • On September 30, 2023, at 5:00 pm EST our existing RMS, including the online member portal, was taken offline. This was necessary to facilitate data migration with a stable, unchanging data set.
  • The Broker and Brokerage search/verification function, temporarily offline in early October, has been restored on the www.ribo.com main page.  Database synchronization between our public website and the portal now happens twice each day.
  • To ensure all brokers and firms had copies of their licenses, Individual Broker and Firm licenses were sent to all license holders the week of October 27th. If you did not receive yours and require a copy of your license please email licensing@ribo.com
  • RIBO Staff are now making use of IRIS internally to process applications and issue new licenses.
  • Data and functional testing are underway by RIBO Staff

Please continue to re-visit this page, and monitor your email for communications from RIBO for the latest updates.
